Trail Rides
1 hour @ $70 pp
What better way to experience the Aussie bush that on horseback? Our trail rides take you through beautiful bushland, allowing you to experience nature firsthand. Trail rides cater for the absolute beginner to the more experienced rider. We have skilled staff that will choose your horse depending on your needs and particular skill level. Safety instruction and guidance are given to all riders prior to departing on the trail ride and once out in the bush we split into several groups so everyone can get the experience they came for. Our emphasis is on safety and our staff will ensure your safety at all times. Ranch horses are well-treated, maintained and loved and as such have a friendly disposition (as do our staff).
What to bring: For safety reasons you should wear long pants and closed toe shoes (no thongs, sandals or high heels, runners are ok). We will provide you with an Australian Safety Standard Helmet and a safe place to lock up your belongings. The minimum age for going on a trail ride is 6 years. Rides go for 1 hour from when we leave the gate, however, longer rides are available so feel free to ask when booking. Bookings for all rides are essential.
Rides depart are $70 per person at 9.00am, 10.30am, 1pm and 2.15pm every Saturday and Sunday, and every day over the school holidays. Please arrive at least 15 minutes early to fill out paperwork and meet the horses.
School Camps & Accommodation
We have 10 very comfortable rooms that sleep 3-4 with shared bathroom and kitchen facilities. There are also 2 bunk rooms sleeping 16 each with their own bathrooms. Boomerang Ranch also has three rec rooms, TV, open fires, table tennis, ball games, archery and orienteering. Please phone 5348 2525 with any questions and for bookings and prices.
RDA & Special Needs Groups
Riding for all abilities is an important part of our philosophy at Boomerang Ranch. We have many returning disability and special needs groups as repeat clients for the ranch. These include SCOPE, INTERCHANGE, W.R.I.S.K, C.A.F.S, LEISURENET WORKS, ALL FOR SMILES, VILLA MARIA that use the ranch as a getaway and respite for their families. Daylesford RDA is run from the property and has been since 1994, where we volunteer many of our horses to them for their essential program.
Boomerang Ranch recognises that horse riding has many benefits for children and adults with disabilities; socially, physically, intellectually and emotionally. At Boomerang Ranch we offer a variety of programs to allow every rider the opportunity to grow and develop to the best of their ability.

Pony Leads and Parties
Pony Rides are just the thing for those too young to partake in a trail ride.
Helmets must be worn & the ponies are led by one of our handlers or a parent that feels comfortable doing so.
We suggest pony riders be old enough to wear a helmet & sit up by themselves. Parents are welcome to walk alongside & assist young riders. Enclosed shoes must be worn to assist.
Let our gentle ponies carry your budding cowboy or cowgirl on a $15.00 pony ride through the surrounding bushlands of the Ranch.
Ponies are also available for Birthday and Christmas Parties at the Ranch and we have a large community style bar house to host children's parties before and after their led rides. A larger pony or horse can be included for older or larger children.
